Project Details:

• Bogie Assembly based on those of a flying / inverted coaster. 

• Contains 33 components. 

• Two types of moving parts. One on the side stop wheels that would allow the wheels to hug the track as it turned, and all wheels could turn on pins that held them to the frame. These features were suppressed for simplicity in the main assembly.

• Scale of project decided on a 12 inch Running and Up-stop wheels, connected to a 8 inch track.

• Steel frame with polyurethane coated wheel

• 24 Concentric mates (all with locked rotation), 46 Coincident mates, and 2 parallel mates.

• Most challenging element: aligning frame dimensions to one 8-inch rail.
