Flying Coaster Full Assembly & Motion Study

  • All of the prior components are brought together in the final assembly.

  • I additionally added a Proximity Sensor and Simulated Brake Pads to stop the train in the motion study.

  • When creating the assembly, the first thing I did was use the Convert Entities tool to create a 3D Sketch of the path between the rails. This is used for the Path Mate to connect a center point of the train to the path.

  • All the other mates, including a combination of parallel, distance, coincident, and concentric mates are used to define the location of the other sub-assemblies. Notice the constraints of the path mates used below.
